Star Wars: Potential Story Ideas After Obi-Wan Kenobi

Max explores the potential stories that could follow and precede Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars universe

One of the best things about the Star Wars franchise is that there are an infinite amount of stories that can be told. Often stories create stories, with the possibility of “tributaries” branching out from the river of a live project. June was a big month for Star Wars. We got treated to Obi-Wan Kenobi. And got the Pre-Rise of Skywalker story in the form of the book, Shadow of the Sith. I enjoyed both of these projects profusely and came away with many ideas for future possibilities. I am only going to focus on two for today. And my 2 ideas, while unorthodox, are what I feel could turn into some quite interesting books or comics.

OBI-WAN KENOBI
1.) Quinlan Vos aka The Conductor

For those fans who don’t know, Quinlan Vos was a very powerful Jedi around the same age as Obi-Wan who possessed the gift of psychometry. He starred in the book Dark Disciple. And throughout his journey as a Jedi spy, we learned that he is perhaps one of the most talented Jedi of his age. He did what Kenobi always failed to do. Beat Count Dooku in a duel. So, it isn’t a surprise he survived Order 66.

The comics hinted at his survival, but the Kenobi series has officially confirmed it. Tala said that he comes around now and then to help people on the Path. A secret underground network that smuggles Force-sensitives and former Jedi to safety from the Empire. Much like the Underground Railroad here on Earth in the United States, Vos served as the Star Wars version of Harriet Tubman.

Using his bravery and advanced survival skills to lead others to freedom. I feel that a book that touches on his initial survival of Order 66 and then getting involved in the Path would be excellent.

It can even segway into the Kenobi series itself! Maybe Quinlan learns his old friend Obi-Wan is alive and goes looking for him. He could fight some Inquisitors along the way or even Vader. Since he is quite powerful, I could see Vader taking an interest in rooting him out. He may even touch base with other survivors like Cal Kestis from the Fallen Order video game. Or even Ahsoka. The possibilities are endless and perhaps Disney may even include him in a movie someday.

2.) My second story dream comes from Shadow of the Sith

Ochi of Bestoon has a dream where his mind replays an event that happened decades from his present time. Ochi is a cold-blooded killer and perhaps the best hunter in the galaxy. His skills were so adept that he attracted the attention of Darth Sidious. And now we know he was active during The Clone Wars and hunted Jedi. In the flashback, he is hunting Depa Billaba who was the Jedi Master of Caleb Dume aka Kanan Jarrus.

Ochi stalked Billaba but the hunter found himself the hunted, as Billaba’s Master, the legendary Mace Windu prevented him from killing his apprentice. Mace was one of the most powerful Jedi ever and bested the seasoned bounty hunter Jango Fett. So I feel he is more than a match for Ochi.

Ochi wakes up before we get more details, but it would be a huge treat to see a book where Ochi and Mace faced off. Since Billaba was done with her training by the time of her hunting, perhaps Ochi could have something to do with Kanan and the book could switch from Clone Wars to Empire as Kanan may find himself in a sticky situation as Ochi remembers him and hunts him after Order 66.

These ideas may seem a little obscure, and readers may wish I had speculated on future Reva adventures or more Luke and Lando, but I feel the best ideas are the simplest ones.
